Cootchy coo and welcome to our new Baby Poems collection for your celebrations of a safe arrival of a new little one. The miracle of birth always brings great happiness and joy and gifts and messages galore.
These ones are for your free use for non commercial purpose.
I held you so tightly in my arms
Traced your fingers that were gently curled
Through tears of joy, I whispered quietly
My beautiful godchild, welcome to the world.
A new little sailor has joined your crew
We'd like to say hello to your son and you!
Although you've only taken 40 weeks
From the very beginning to the end;
It felt like an eternity for us
Waiting for this gift from God to send.
Well worth the wait I might add
You knew the time was right;
That was why after fits and starts
You waited for the middle of the night.
So welcome to this planet earth
A wonderful place to be;
With a great life ahead of you
Spent with your Dad and me!
You look so tiny lying there
I can't believe you're here;
It's taken your Mom and Dad
Over quite a few years.
I've nagged and nagged
To be a grandma-ma;
Not sure Dad was keen
On the grandpa-pa.
We're so pleased to meet you
You look just like your Dad;
Anytime you want to stay
Just tell Mom she'll be glad.
Lots of ribbons,
lots of lace
and a cute little nose
on an angelic face
Gather round and celebrate the joy that has been given.
A gift of love, of flesh and blood. A tiny bit of heaven.
See the wonder of it all, and marvel at the sight
Share the happiness we know, celebrate the life.
Make memories of the times to come, of hours and days and years.
Mark down each step, each task, each word, the laughter and the tears.
For a celebration of life is such, that one must never be
In too big a hurry to stop and smell,to feel,to touch,to see
Yes, gather round and celebrate the life that has been given,
A gift of love & of hope eternal, our tiny bit of heaven.
Every little cell
All make up one whole;
It's a miracle
Before our eyes unfolds
Blessed be the ones who come
And join our family;
Firts there was only two of us
And now with baby it's three.
For this new little bundle
That has been born today;
May good health be with her/him always
Hope and joy keep harm at bay.
The excitement of living be abundant
Energy and a joy to behold;
That success and luck bless them
May their spirit never get old.
I wasn't sure what color
Some stick to pink or blue;
I thought cream instead
It can be changed for you?
As long as you have
Everything you need;
I'm sure you'll be great
Very great indeed.
They say blue for a boy and pink for a girl
I'm not sure that is true;
What if she/he doesn't suit that shade
Just what are we to do?
Individuality is the game
I'm sure we'll find a way;
If Granny get's the punk stuff out
The wearing we'll delay.
Going for Great though Grandma will be
So we'll be able to tell her;
No knitted bonnets this time round
We'll just have to try and deter
A new little life
To watch unfold;
A new little hand
For you to hold
Another little smile
To melt your heart;
Congratulations from both of us
Your baby is a work of art!
Welcome to our world you lovely baby boy
I wonder what your name will be;
We can't wait to hold you in our arms
Your Grandad and Grandma-that'll be me.
Lots and lots of names went round
We thought we'd wait and see;
Just who you would look like
Before we named you Bradlee.(or something)
Confusion reigns as you will find
You've caused great excitement on your birth;
You'll wind us round those fingers and toes
Filling us all with great mirth.
