For Bride to Groom (vice versa)

Our day has finally arrived
We've waited for so long;
I want to shout it out
Or maybe sing a song.

Our love has blossomed over time
Into the most beautiful ever seen;
I'm sure that everyone agrees
It's surely evergreen.

Everything is perfect all set and ready to go
The plans been laid for a long time;
Even the weather has promised us
Blue skies and sunshine sublime.

I see you waiting there so patiently
All the regality surrounding you;
The celebration of our love
Culminating on this day I'm marrying you!

Parent to Daughter

I've waited for this time to come
Watching you grow up over the years;
My little girl you have now blossomed
My eyes are welling up with tears.

You look so very beautiful
For your happiness I pray;
That all your memories will be fond
Of your wonderful Wedding day.

A quiet time for reflection
The distance we have come;
This day waited for so long
Walking slowly as the harpists strum.

The violins then join in
They make me want to cry;
Emotion overflowing
What they now imply.

So take my arm my daughter
I'll walk you down the aisle;
To give you to this man you love
Who has turned to return your smile.

Surrounded by love this day
By all and sundry here;
Take that with you all the while
It will last for many years.

An Angel's Wedding

Vows to take, and prayers to say
On that their blessed wedding day;
The dream has been seen, and fantasies thought.
And the angels dress already bought.

Her little girl fantasy will come to life
When the two come together as man and wife;
That day the church will be filled with stars,
Coming from galaxies both near and far.

Tears will shed when exchanging the rings.
And kissing when on glasses there are clings.
She’ll look gorgeous before him in a gown of white
Because an angel is such a wondrous sight.

They’ll dance on the softest clouds of gold
And begin the promise to have and to hold.
We’ll remember her veil, and the long matching train
And know how she looked when taking his name.

That day will be filled with joy and with love
And heaven sent blessings from God up above;
Sadly the day must come to an end
But the angel now has a lover and friend.

If you think the story I tell is not true
Believe that it is. The next angel is you!

Our families get on well
They liked each other from the start;
So their support has been great
We love them with all our hearts.

Todays wedding is unusual
I've turned up on a Harley;
We're in the woods and daffodils
Surrounded by a field of barley.

The vows are just as sacred
Held very close to our hearts;
As we vow year on year
That we will never part.

So never take for granted
As daily life grinds on;
That our love won't need refuelling
Or polishing until it shone.

Because at first we lived in sin
We have the sheets and rubbish bin
So although a gift would be swell
How about a donation to wish us well?

True love is a sacred flame
That burns eternally,
And none can dim its special glow
Or change its destiny.

True love speaks in tender tones
And hears with gentle ear,
True love gives with open heart
And true love conquers fear.

True love makes no harsh demands
It neither rules nor binds,
And true love holds with gentle hands
The hearts that it entwines.

You are the mother I received
The day I wed your son.
And I just want to thank you, Mom
For all the things you've done.

You've given me a gracious man
With whom I can share my life.
You are his loving mother and
I'm his lucky wife.

You used to pat his little head,

And now I hold his hand.

You raised in love a little boy

And gave to me a man.
