And even to your old age I am He; and even to gray hairs
will I carry you; I have made, and I will bear;
even I will carry, and will deliver you.
Isaiah 46:4

Grandfathers

Grandfathers are a special breed
Of kinfolk, all their own.
They love you and hug you,
And spoil you to death.
And then, they send you home.

Walk with Grandpa

I like to walk with Grandpa,
His steps are short like mine.
He doesn't say "Now hurry up!"
He always takes his time.
Most people have to hurry,
They do not stop and see,
I'm glad that God made Grandpa
"Unrushed" and young like me.

Grandparents Poems

**

Few can bring the warmth
We can find in their embrace,
And little more is needed to bring love.
Than the smile on their face.

They've a supply of precious stories,
Yet they've time to wipe a tear,
Or give us reasons to make us laugh,
They grow more precious through the years.

I believe that God sent us Grandparents
As our legacy from above,
To share the moments of our life,
As extra measures of His love.

Grandparents bestow upon their grandchildren
The strength and wisdom that time
And experience have given them.
Grandchildren bless their Grandparents
With a youthful vitality and innocence
That help them stay young at heart forever.
Together they create a chain of love
Linking the past with the future.
The chain may lengthen,
But it will never part…

A grandmother who’s special
Who’s caring and sincere.
Who’s always took good care of me
And always brought good cheer.

A grandmother who’s loving
Who’s patient and kind.
Who’s always made me smile
And always on my mind.

A grandmother who’s sweet
Who’s gentle and polite.
Who’s always made me laugh
After a scary night.

You’ll always be the best
No matter where you are.
You’ll always be in my heart
And in God’s hands..
"I Love You Grandmother"

GRANDAD WE LOVE YOU

**

I will always remember

The special jumpers you knit;

In all colours of the rainbow

A rather baggy kind of fit.

We passed them down

As each child got older;

As your eyes failed you

The colours just got bolder.

The spare bits of wool

Well the dog got that;

We should've called him Joseph

With his colours on his hat.

My grandad could knit too

He learned whilst he was ill;

It kept him busy long dark days

And darker nights that were still.

Therapy the doctor said

He made some wicker things too;

They stayed within the family

Trays when we had tea for two!
