Hope Yours Is Spooktacular!
Caramel apples and caramel corn
Are great for trick or treating;
If no money changes hands
At least they're good for eating.
Look into the mirror
In your bedroom in the dark;
You will see your future lover
Or your future will be stark
Dark nights and broomsticks that fly
Long black hair and pointy hats;
There are lots of witches at this time of year
Why do they always have a black cat?
They fly around on a special night
Green teeth and boils on their nose;
If you see them go and hide
And whatever you do don't doze.
They'll creep up on you as you snore
Terrifying you through and through;
Put you in a cauldron with mouses hearts
To make their special witches brew.
There's a goblin at my window
A monster at my door;
The pumpkin at my table
Keeps on smiling at me more and more.
There's a ghost who haunts my bedroom
A witch whose face is green;
They used to be my family
Till they dressed for halloween.
Halloween is coming soon
So grab your mask or broom
On Friday night before The Game
We’ll drink some beers and raise some cane
Come dressed as anything you want
A rock star, Jedi, or debutante
The party begins at 7 o’clock
So put on your boogie shoes and get ready to rock
From ghoulies to ghosties
And things that go bump in the night
Good Lord deliver us.
Double, double toil and trouble
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
It's time for Halloween,
for black cats and pumpkins, too...
It's time for lots of real-scary fun
for someone sweet-like you!
A gypsy fire is on the hearth
Sign of the carnival of mirth;
Through the dun fields and from the glade
Flash merry folk in masquerade,
For this is Hallowe’en!
Where spiders crawl amongst the pumpkins;
In that creepy hallowed light;
Shadows cast against the moon
On are Hallowed evening-night.
A cackle heard from under a pointy hat
With green fingers grasping tight;
The wooden handle on her stick
Steering crazily in the eerie light.
Black teeth and even darker breath
Passing boils on her skin;
Her lips a lumpy red
With blackheads deep within.
Masquerading on All Saints Night
Creepy and mad or what;
The one thing that we can be forgiven for
Is being frightened of the green smut.
With a cackle and a hiss
The cauldron brew is strong;
It smells fearfully like
Something very wrong.
Cobwebs and spiders
Are they in this stew;
If so I'm not sure I'll eat it
What about you???
The ghost and ghouls
Surround us now;
I don't know about this
I don't know how.
I want to go home
But can't think of the magic;
If the great toad eats me
That will be tragic!
Hissing sounds and cats around
All black and hiding in the dark;
We should have stayed around the streets
And not come in the park!
Tricks or treats it's up to you
I've got my list already;
I'm still shaking from that witch
I can't hold my hands steady.
Are you sure that was one dressed up
There will be some of them that are real;
My dad said so late last night
When he was eating his meal.
I haven't seen any men witches-have you?
They're all a bit like the munsters;
It's a good job we can stay in the shade
It'll give us a chance that'll do for starters!
For spooks and ghouls and ghosties too
I'll not have any sleep;
Dressed up in creepy clothes
It makes me want to weep.
Eerily looking at the starlit sky
Through a window crack and cobweb;
The silhouette of a broomstick might
Be seen with a full moon behind.
A cackle and a hiss, a cat jumps out
Nerves rattle and roll out loud;
Black teeth in an ugly face
Smile down at you through a shroud.
A cauldron on an open fire
In the middle of our woods;
They said it was just a joke
Scary hiding under hoods.
Can't see who they are
Several all standing about;
They seem to know the words
To spells and that's no doubt.
Are they white or are they black
The spells are they good or bad;
As that all depends I'm told
Good and I'll be glad!
The veil between the worlds
Of life and death unfold;
They are at their thinnest
On this night of old.
Can we go through into that world
Others have tried before;
Not until our time is up
Do not open that weird door.
It makes me shiver in the cold night air
Howls and shrieks raging through the night;
If only I could see my Mom and Dad
I know then I'd be alright.
It's cold and spooky, scary too
I'll hold hands with you;
If you change and then have claws
I won't be able to stay with you.
The pumkin lanterns look quite good
With a monsters face inside;
The pumkin soup is also nice
Warming our hearts up wide.
The witches like the juices
To flow quite evenly;
Around the body when they cut
It up for magic forbiddenly.
So stay awake and keep with us
We're not leaving home tonight;
At least in the morning we will know
For sure that we are alright.
