Marriage is not a ritual or an end.
It is a long, intricate, intimate dance together
and nothing matters more than your own

I have learned that only two things are necessary to
keep one's wife happy.
First, let her think she's having her own way.
And second, let her have it.

The Secret to reaching Wedding Anniversaries

For attractive lips,
Speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes,;
Seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure;
Share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair,
Let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise,
Walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things;
Have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed,
And redeemed; never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand,
You will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands;
One for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
Audrey Hepburn

Adaptable for number of years!

An anniversary is a time to remember
About a couples life
A time to recognize the strongest bond
Between a husband and wife
?? years together never to be apart
Love grows continually between you both
Deep within the heart
Each anniversary is special
And may cause a shed tear
For the love grows ever stronger
When its shared for another year.

A long time ago on this day
You promised to love and obey.
So what were you thinking?
You must have been drinking
to take such a vow anyway.

My Rose Never Faded

While walking through seventeen
I picked a bright red rose.
I was living wild and reckless it changed my life I suppose.
A blue ribbon winner with its brilliant flare
Its beauty was enchanting like a breath of mountain air.
I kept it near my heart red velvet all aglow
Why God gave me this gift I guess I'll never know.
Withstanding troubled times and a heartbreak now and then
But the rose never wilted amazing me once again.
Roses bloom in their season then die and fall apart
My rose kept on living rooted deep within my heart
My days are growing short now I have lived a fulfilled life
The rose I picked when I was young is my fateful loving wife.
She gave me three sons and they filled my bouquet
Pride and pleasure overflowed to see them blossom day by day.
We have grown old together and my heart is still
elated after all the years gone by.
My rose never faded.
For my Loving wife

When two became one!

Who could have guessed
When you began married life
How entwined you'd become
As husband and wife.
After 25 years
You still say "I Love You"
in many different ways.
May Silver remind you,
You share a special happiness
Life gives to very few.

Happy Anniversary Mum (Mom) and Dad

We never know
Or fully realize
How sweet and kind our parents are,
How gentle and how wise

We simply take for granted,
From day to passing day,
Each sacrifice they make for us
In their own loving way.

But then we grow and finally learn,
The way that children do,
How much their love has really meant,
How thoughtful they've been, too -

And so this comes with all the thanks
You both deserve and more.
For there aren't two dearer parents
Than the one this card's for

Scientists have discovered that the longer people
stay married, the more they begin to look alike.
After 40 years you better start putting name tags in your underwear.
Happy Anniversary!

and their grandchildren

Wedding Anniversary Poems

Nineteen Sixty to two thousand and ten,
Is 50 years all told;
If marriage was an Olympic sport
They'd have got themselves a gold.

She likes to shop for England
And loves wine, that's true;
While he slopes off to the local bar
To sup a pint or two.

(He catches fish - she drinks like one) (They both love holidays etc)
It's a match that couldn't be better
While she slogs to keep the place clean
He is happy to let 'er.

We can reveal that he's 85
That's a well known fact
Telling her age would be a breach
Of the Official Secrets Act
adapted in part from Jon Bratton

Fifty years together is a mountain
In truth not all of us would wish to climb.
For umpteen thousand days . . . but, well, who's countin'?
The two of you have trudged up this incline.
Nicholas Gordon

One by one each year flew by,
Since you both said "I do"...
60 years of memories,
Shared by the two of you.

From big events and holidays
To simple daily pleasures,
Some tearful times along life's way
Some joys that can't be measured...

One by one each year now gone,
But still they're yours forever...
Each and every memory,
Of sixty years together!
